Highcon appoints Americas sales director
Highcon has appointed Ron Kukla as its new sales director for the Americas to promote adoption of the company’s digital cutting and creasing technology in the region.
Based in Knoxville, Tennessee, Kukla has spent the last 19 years at HP Indigo in various sales leadership roles including regional manager, director of strategic accounts and vice president of sales. Prior to joining Indigo in 1997, he worked was at A.B. Dick for 12 years.
Highcon said Kukla has a proven track record in successfully driving sales growth of new printing technologies, and working with customers to transform industries and businesses to digital. In his new position, Kukla will be responsible for both leading Highcon’s North and South American sales teams, and working with its customers in the region to promote adoption of Highcon’s digital cutting and creasing technology.
Kukla described Highcon’s technology as ‘revolutionary’, and said that he has been following the company and its progression since it launched at drupa 2012. Highcon recently introduced a new strategic vision, and has moved to a portfolio of products, including Pulse and Beam, alongside its established Euclid platform.
‘I believe that this revolutionary cutting and creasing technology brings genuine value to the finishing part of the printing process and will have a real impact on the industry,’ stated Kukla. ‘I couldn’t miss the opportunity to be part of this exciting team, especially looking at the launches planned for drupa 2016.’
