Omet promotes Paolo Grasso
Omet has named Paolo Grasso as head of sales for its newly-introduced Labels business unit.
In his new role, Grasso will lead the global sales team, agents and distributor network of the Labels business unit, supporting them closely to further enhance the sales and market response.
Omet sales director Marco Calcagni said: ‘It’s the right time to organize our sales activities to be able to complete our global expansion with a closer attention to each customer, as for Omet every customer is special and deserves the necessary attention.’
Grasso has worked with Omet for 14 years as area sales manager for Asia and the Middle East. In this role, he has been instrumental in establishing a strong base of clients and installations in a tough yet growing region of the world. Seeing his ability to lead Omet to new and challenging territories has led the company’s top management appoint him to the new role.
His promotion comes as the Italy-based press manufacturer restructures with separate business units for labels and packaging.
Calcagni continued: ‘Omet is a very innovative company with path breaking ideas in many markets, which has led Omet’s growth in diverse market segments. Hence, we now feel that each of these segments deserves the necessary focus. We will continue to work in this direction for the best results.’
