Finat on turning technology into value

This year’s edition of Finat Technical Seminar will be focusing on providing participants a deeper understanding into various aspects of label converting technologies along the value chain and turning them into value.

The seminar, set to take place in Barcelona, Spain between 4th and 6th of March 2020 will include two plenary and two parallel sessions. Over 20 expert speakers will share their expertise on an array of topics designed to give an update on the latest status with regards to legislation, materials science, converting technology and innovation.

A large part of the meeting will be dedicated to the future of self-adhesive labelling with the latest updates on EU legislation and the circular economy. The panel of experts will discuss critical issues faced by the label industry around food contact regulations, sustainability and recycling. The seminar is also going to touch on providing solutions to handle release liner or matrix by-products, guidance on best practices in areas like UV curing for food packaging.

During the seminar Finat will also discuss how digitalization is changing the way self-adhesive labels are produced during the ‘Technology and Business’ session, which is going to explain the pros and cons and compare various printing technologies.
