Harrier LLC has installed two HP Indigo press 5000s at its premises in Newton Abbot, Devon, UK. The HP Indigo presses will cater to the growing demands of the photo gift market including customers such as Jessops and Snapfish.

Working closely with high-street brand Jessops, popular online service Snapfish and its own subsidiary company Truprint, Harrier provides photo gift fulfillment services, producing products such as personalized calendars, photo books, mugs, T-shirts, jigsaws and canvas prints. This is a significant change in direction for the company, whose previous involvement in the photo market entailed traditional film-based photo printing.

‘We chose HP Indigo press 5000s having previously outsourced our digital printing requirements to an HP Indigo user. We were so impressed by the quality and adaptability of the press that we chose to invest ourselves. The success and growth of the photo printing market in the last 18 months has impressed and surprised us. Having already experienced the quality of HP Indigo from our outsourced work, we knew we could not afford to miss out on this business opportunity any longer,’ said Gary Bowles, general manager, Harrier. ‘Our customers require high quality prints while maintaining a very fast turnaround. The HP Indigo presses make this precision and efficiency seem effortless.’
