Nuova Gidue details Spanish successes

Nuova Gidue has detailed a number of MX press line installations in Spain, which it said show that ‘the market is ready for our revolutionary innovations’ given the rate of investment in a country hard hit by the global economic crisis.

Since its launch in 2012, and by the end of 2014, Nuova Gidue’s MX press line had seen more than 50 installations globally. This has included units at Spanish converters Inter Ade, Mesones Artes Graficas, Imprenta M. Sandonis, Timbrados Elche and Sugrapack.

Inter Ade, based in Sueca, Valencia, specializes in the production of self-adhesive labels, as well as silkscreen posters, plaques, cards and aluminum.

It first purchased Nuova Gidue technology in 2010 when, through Martinez Associates, the Italian manufacturer’s certified distributor in Spain, it invested in a 370mm-wide, 8-color S-Combat.

Maria Vincenta Comes, Inter Ade managing director, said: ‘After two generations, we keep on committing to the research of the best technology available in order to provide customers the highest print quality possible combined with our personalized service, which ensures customers continue trusting in our work.

‘The Nuova Gidue MX line perfectly fits our needs and I’m sure it will help us meet the market demand for high quality labels.’

Timbrados Elche has invested in an MX2 UV flexo press, also 370mm wide and featuring eight printing stations. Its unit includes two die-cutting units.

Segundo Morales, managing director of Timbrados Elche, said: ‘We work internally on the designs that the customers ask us for, therefore we need to have the right technology that can perfectly print out our final product.

‘This Nuova Gidue press is combines ease in the operation and high quality in the results, and lets us print our product with the best quality ever. We are more than satisfied with this investment.’

Sugrapack, which started operating in 2004, has also installed a Nuova Gidue UV flexo press, again 370mm wide and with eight printing stations.

‘In 10 years of experience in the labels and packaging industry we have strongly ripened the concept that it is investment in the right advanced technology that can give us the opportunity to keep on enlarging our business,’ said Francisco Romero, managing director of Sugrapack. ‘With the installation of the Nuova Gidue flexo press we know that we will be able to reach and satisfy even the most demanding customer.’

Maurizio Trecate, vice president of sales at Nuova Gidue, said: ‘The resounding sales success of our presses in Spain is a great result for Nuova Gidue. It isn’t always that simple to explain and sell advance technology to conventional converters, mostly because of the lack of knowledge and trust in the kind of technologies that the press includes.

‘These successes in Spain, during this period of global economic crisis, is definitely a further confirmation that the market is ready for our revolutionary innovations.’
