Omet installs 600th press worldwide

The Italian printing equipment manufacturer, which also serves the wet wipe and tissue converting markets, said the milestone installation of an XFlex X6 530 comes at a time of ‘strong growth’ which has seen the company increase its turnover by 10 percent each year since 2009 to reach over 85 million EUR (93 million USD) in 2014.

Omet added that its installed base spreads over five continents with a 'significant increase in remote areas of the planet', which ‘often dictate the pace of growth of the entire market’.

Omet is to launch two new machines for the label and package printing market later this year.

In a statement, Omet said: ‘In over 50 years of presence in the printing industry, Omet has renewed several times to achieve more ambitious goals, supported by people and values that still represent the main motor of the company.

‘The achievement of 600 installations worldwide and two new products to be launched in the printing market are obvious signs of a business vitality that always seeks new challenges.’
