William Frick & Co partners with Technologies ROI for harsh environment RFID tags

William Frick & Company, a labeling products and RFID tag manufacturer and distributor, has announced an agreement with Technologies ROI (TROI) to become the exclusive North American distributor for TROI's line of harsh environment RFID labels and tags.
‘TROI's products are the perfect complement to our own – they really expand the number of custom RFID solutions we bring to market,’ commented Jeff Brandt, Frick's president. ‘Our high temperature RFID tags continue to function after exposure to extreme temperatures. Our pipeline marking RFID tags can withstand even repeated blows by a sledgehammer. We also have chemical resistant tags and RFID tags that can be cured in concrete.’
Dr Patrick King, PhD, holder of several US patents in RFID technology and founder of TROI, said: ‘William Frick and Company has for several years been developing the market for custom RFID tags and labels; their sales and distribution channels are a great means to deliver TROI's intellectual property, tag selection and custom RFID tags to customers in any industry.’ Dr King will continue developing tags and technologies that improve the effectiveness and increase the number of uses for his tag designs.
Frick will brand the products under its SmartMark line and has currently available both sample tags and specifications for testing and evaluation. Frick will also present the products this April in Orlando at the industry show RFID Journal Live. ‘The timing of this partnership comes when companies are more than ever scrutinizing expenses and looking for improved efficiencies in manufacturing, logistics and asset control,’ said Brandt. ‘We think TROI's products will bring opportunities to many companies that previously had no practical way to capitalize on the benefits of RFID.’
