All Lecta mills now certified to OHSAS 18001
Lecta, a European manufacturer and distributor of specialty paper for labels and flexible packaging, has had its Sant Joan Les Fonts, Leitza and Condat mills certified to OHSAS 18001, meaning all of its manufacturing sites are now certified to the internationally recognized occupational health and safety management standard.
OHSAS 18001 sets out the minimum requirements for occupational health and safety management best practice.
Certification at Sant Joan Les Fonts and Leitza in Spain, and Condat in France, mean Lecta has fulfilled the commitment outlined in its most recent environmental report to certify all its manufacturing sites by the end of 2014.
By doing so, the company has demonstrated its commitment to ensuring the safety of its employees and reaffirmed its engagement in improving quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety standards.
Lecta added that all of its manufacturing sites are certified to the strictest environmental standards – ISO 14001 and EMAS – and hold PEFC and FSC chain of custody certificates. Furthermore, all Lecta sites have successfully completed audits for ISO 15001 energy efficiency, ISO 9001 quality and, now, OHSAS 18001 occupational health and safety standards.
