Associations make call for next carton awards program

Categories cover beverage, confectionery and food to non-food, beauty and cosmetics, and volume markets.

The 2015 Pro Carton ECMA Award program sees the category Pharmaceuticals changed to Health Care & Pharmaceuticals, while entries in the Shelf Ready Packaging category can now be entered directly in the individual categories.

Fernanda Brandao was named as Carton of the Year in the Pro Carton ECMA Award 2014 program.

The 2015 Pro Carton ECMA Award is again open to all partners in the cartonboard and carton industry supply chains, as well as designers, brand owners and the retail trade.

The deadline for entries is May 21. Finalists will be announced in August, and prizes presented during a gala ceremony on September 10 as part of the next ECMA Congress in Bucharest, Romania.

A roadshow featuring the winning cartons will then visit exhibitions, congresses and events across Europe.

The jury for the 2015 Pro Carton ECMA Award program includes chairman Satkar Gidda of SiebertHead and the judges Stan Akkermans of Mars, Wilfried Duivenvoorden of Unilever, Lotte Krekels of Carrefour Belgium and Suzanne Lippitsch from Vienna. Peter Klein Sprokkelhorst will also provide professional advice to the jury.
