Benson makes 2014 Luxury Packaging Awards shortlist

The Cosmetics and Personal Care Pack category of The Luxury Packaging Awards was open to all packaging for high-end and luxury cosmetics and personal care products including, but not limited to, creams, mascara, lipstick, lip gloss, nail polish, eye liner, foundation, face powder, shampoo and other haircare products, and skincare and cleaning products.

In considering the five key criteria laid out for the awards, judges were briefed to focus not only on the primary packaging of the product but also any presentation cases, boxes, or other secondary packaging in which the product is presented or sold.

Temple Spa Cartons by Curtis Print & Packaging have also been shortlisted in the Cosmetics and Personal Care Pack category, alongside a further six entries.

Nikki Clark, marketing manager at Benson Group, said: ‘We are delighted to have made the shortlist for The Luxury Packaging Awards.

‘It highlights the excellent quality of work that our Medica Packaging business is able to produce for customers working in the fiercely competitive personal care market.’

The Luxury Packaging Awards program recognises and rewards the latest innovations in the luxury goods market with entries welcomed from across the globe.

A total of eight categories have been shortlisted, with the winners to be announced at an awards ceremony on September 20 at The Underglobe, Shakespeare’s Globe, Bankside. Other categories include Drinks Primary Pack, Drinks Secondary Pack, Perfume Pack, Jewellery & Accessories Pack, Luxury Food Pack, Special Edition and Innovation of the Year.

Other packaging manufacturers shortlisted in these categories include Knoll Printing & Packaging, Pringraf, Multi Packaging Solutions, National Flexible and Crown Packaging Europe.

Winners of a further three awards will be announced on the night – Luxury Shopping Bag, Luxury Tobacco Pack and Best in Show.
