BST Sayona rebranded as BST eltromat India
BST Sayona, an Indo-German joint venture company and part of Elexis Group, has been re-branded as BST eltromat India, effective January 14.
BST Sayona was incorporated in 1993 jointly with BST international. Headquartered in Mumbai, and now known as BST eltromat India, it has a manufacturing unit in Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat, and several branch offices across major metros and industrial hubs.
Tappan Patel, BST eltromat India managing director, said: ‘This move is in line with the global merger to align ourselves with all the other BST eltromat subsidiaries.’
BST eltromat has also re-launched its register control device, regi_star 20, in the Indian market with new features.
The new features of the BST eltromat register control system optimize various processes on a printing press by adapting automatically to the respective process conditions with the aid of pilot control, and reducing the amount of waste created during set-up, start-up, reel changes and speed changes.
In addition to detecting wedge marks using a one-pixel color camera, the equipment enables connecting matrix cameras to detect dot marks. In-setter modules are also available to control a pre-printed web and for the electronic gear adjustment of tools.
Other new features include an additional keypad, an additional remote display and operating unit for the control system, register pre-setting for the printing press, acquisition of the print cylinder positions, motorized traverse bars for the register mark sensors and a remote maintenance module.
