Cyber security luminary to speak at EFI Connect 2014
Gil Shwed, founder, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Check Point Software Technologies, will participate in a Q&A session with EFI’s Guy Gecht at the 14th annual EFI Connect users conference, being held January 21-24, 2014 at The Wynn Las Vegas.
Shwed, the inventor of the modern firewall, has led Check Point to becoming the world’s most successful internet security technology company. In 2003, Shwed was honored alongside former US president Bill Clinton, singer Bono and several Nobel laureates as a winner of the Academy of Achievement’s Golden Plate award.
Last year’s EFI Connect saw Benny Landa join Gecht, EFI’s CEO, on the stage for a Q&A session. See footage of the discussion here.
Of Shwed’s participation in EFI Connect 2014, Gecht said: ‘Internet security is something businesses of all sizes need to understand if they are going to navigate the ever-evolving threats in our 24/7 connected world. Gil has unique and visionary views, and I could not have asked for a better expert to come to Connect and address this increasingly important topic.’
Shwed added: ‘I am excited to speak at EFI’s Connect conference to share my views and experiences from 20 years of working with businesses worldwide.
‘After the fireside chat keynote session, attendees will be better informed about the increasing risks of cyber threats.’
