KWH Plast launches new peelable lidding film

- Barrier layer reduces the oxygen transmission rate and protects the product, while anti-fog additive changes the surface properties so that moisture inside the package spreads out on the surface of the film
- The product is targeted at packaging of leading meat, chicken and ready-meal brands
KWH Plast has introduced a new polypropylene-based lidding film, SecurityPeel, for industrially produced food packages.
The company says the secure and peelable seal, combined with excellent anti-fog properties, makes it an ideal solution for meat and ready-meal packages.
Product safety
SecurityPeel is said to increase product safety and enhance shelf life.
‘The object was to add value for packaging converters, the food industry, brand owners, retailers and consumers,’ said Håkan Forss, marketing director of KWH Plast.
The product is targeted at packaging of leading meat, chicken and ready-meal brands.
The film’s barrier layer reduces the oxygen transmission rate and protects the product, while the anti-fog additive of the lidding film changes the surface properties so that the moisture inside the package spreads out on the surface of the film.
The food inside the package is fully visible on the cold shelves, and the consumer can clearly see what they are about to buy.
