Webex introduces custom vacuum roll

Webex has introduced a custom engineered narrow web vacuum roll to provide precise control over super-sensitive optical film. The six inch diameter roll body features a highly polished stainless steel finish with a series of micro grooves and port holes that produce a gentle web gripping force.

Custom vacuum rolls can have adjustable active zone widths from within a few inches to nearly the entire face length of the roll. Active wraps zone are typically not adjustable and set according to the customer’s web wrap specifications. The cantilever design on this driven vacuum roll is for a clean room web handling application. Vacuum rolls are commoly specified in stainless steel, steel with nickel plating, and hard-anodized aluminum with nickel plating.
