Irplast launches Eco+ tape
Eco+ is Irplast’s new sustainable adhesive tape that reduces CO2 emissions by 18 percent compared to standard tapes (inks and coating not included in the analysis). Eco+ tape is made of 34 percent post-industrial recycled Irplast BOPP film.
Eco+ tape is a solvent-free pressure sensitive adhesive tape in 25-40 μm thickness with cores made from recycled cardboard. It is suitable for any packaging material. With a transparent base, Eco+ tape can be customized with designs up to 10 colors and/or any text.
According to the company, Irplast is committed to investing in innovation aimed at sustainable development involving all business processes. Irplast’s most recent achievements are: ISCC+ certified films to reduce CO2 emissions during cracking and film manufacturing processes, film thicknesses reduction, fossil raw materials replacement with feedstocks from chemical recycling or renewable resources, wrap-around labels with wash-off adhesives and special inks to avoid contamination of r-PET. Irplast claims it is now the first company producing bio-based and PCW-based polypropylene films on a large scale.
