GEW has appointed CNI as its official distributor for label and narrow web business in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. CNI will manage sales, service and spare parts for GEW's label and narrow web installations across both countries.

The new partnership builds upon GEW’s existing distributorship in Hungary, which borders Slovakia and is managed by CNI's subsidiary.

Founded in October 1992 by Pavel Balloš and Jiří Novák, CNI is a distributor for several leading brands in the region that supply UV and UV LED inks to the printing industry. It represents Flint Group, Dupont, Dantex and H.B. Fuller, among others.

CNI began its operations from a small garage on the outskirts of Prague. Since then, the company has steadily built in size and reputation and now has 45 employees and four warehouses across the region, in addition to its Prague headquarters.

Adam Balloš, CEO of CNI, commented: 'We have experience representing GEW through our Hungarian office, and we know all about the reliability and dependability of their UV systems. We are now excited to share GEW’s leading-edge technology with our customers, old and new, in Czechia and Slovakia. Our current products have an excellent synergy with GEW’s, meaning that we can offer our customers more of a ‘one-stop-shop’ service.

Bernd Prattl, managing director at GEW DACH, added, 'We look forward to delivering excellent and responsive customer support through our new partners, CNI. They are well established, well respected and well known throughout the region, and they will offer more proactive sales, service and spare parts support to our customers.'
