Rotatek SL partners with Lombardi at Labelexpo Americas 2024

Packaging press manufacturer Rotatek SL, now part of the global Vinsak Group, will share a stand with Lombardi at Labelexpo Americas 2024 as the two companies embark on an offset technology partnership.

‘We have a robust partnership with Lombardi, and Rotatek will supply offset units for their combination presses as needed,’ said Mohammad Rizwan, marketing manager of Rotatek Printing & Packaging Technologies SL.  

The Vinsak Group already distributes Lombardi presses in the Middle East, India, and African markets, and recently installed the first 880mm-wide Lombardi Invicta I2press in Asia. 

‘Lombardi will remain dedicated to manufacturing and selling flexo technology, while Rotatek SL will exclusively offer offset units for their combination presses,’ said Rizwan.

Nicola Lombardi, marketing manager at Lombardi Converting Group, commented: ‘By sharing its space with Rotatek, Lombardi also promotes the combined flexo-offset technology, underscoring its commitment to developing versatile presses meeting diverse industry needs.’

The Vinsak Group is using Labelexpo Americas 2024 to launch the revived Rotatek technology brand into the US market. ‘The show provides an ideal platform to reintroduce Rotatek Printing & Packaging Technologies SL,’ explained Rizwan. ‘We've recently unveiled our expanded 850mm-wide Universal Sleeve Press at drupa 2024, specifically designed for pharma leaflets and cartons, and we anticipate it will drive significant short-term growth. Additionally, we are preparing to unveil a revamped Brava Platform in 2025, marking the next major innovation from our team.’ 

Rotatek Printing and Packaging Technologies SL - formerly known as Rotatek - will continue to operate from its manufacturing base in Barcelona, Spain, which was recently expanded by 15,000sqft. 

‘The Rotatek team is highly excited, reflected in our order pipeline,’ said Rizwan. ‘It has been almost a year since we took the ownership of Rotatek Printing and Packaging Technologies SL Spain and things have just gotten better and better. We not only retained the whole team but also doubled it in manufacturing, services and sales. New distribution agreements are being finalized weekly to ensure local service in every country. Manufacturing capacities are being ramped up to offer advanced technologies with shorter lead times as sales increase. We have allocated a separate budget for R&D.’

Also on the Rotatek SL/Lombardi stand at Labelexpo Americas will be Rotatek Brasil, which is Rotatek SL’s partner and exclusive agent for the Brazilian market.
