Following a significant investment in a state-of-the-art new facility, GMS Pacific, one of the leading printing and label equipment distributors, has opened the doors to its first demo center in Melbourne.
The company, which has delivered intelligent technologies for label and packaging manufacturers for more than four decades, has handled distribution and servicing for brands, including Domino, Tesa tapes, EyeC quality inspection, Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems, Sandon Global Anilox, Rotec sleeves and Toray, just to name a few.

‘We recently relocated the whole business to Ferntree Gully Rd, Notting Hill in Victoria in order to have space for a fantastic new demo facility, and room to grow for the future’ said Andrew McNamara, managing director of GMS Pacific. ‘As this is our first-ever demo center, we wanted to make it special, and we’re delighted that the significant investment has been so worthwhile. With 240 square meters of floor space, we not only have the room for a full Kongsberg automation line, but we also have ample space for other machinery.’
The demo center will be used to offer live demonstrations for all the products distributed by the company, such as EyeC inspection equipment, which is showcased alongside the Kongsberg table.
‘We will rotate, as appropriate, various products and machinery into the demo center in time,’ added McNamara. ‘Currently, we are also demonstrating the EyeC vision inspection technology and StarPlate CTF systems. I also hope to bring a Domino 7-color, 1200 dpi digital press in late 2024/25.’
Managing all sales, distribution, and servicing of the complete range of products, tools and consumables across Oceania, GMS Pacific also provides expert advice to customers.
‘The new facility is in an ideal location for us, and from here, we can host and entertain customers from anywhere in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia,’ concluded McNamara.
