Rotocon expands into Asia
Rotocon has expanded its brand with the official registration of its subsidiary Rotocon Asia, which will distribute and support the entire Ecoline range of finishing equipment throughout the continent.
Established in 2008 in South Africa, Rotocon is a family-owned business led by German-born Michael Aengenvoort and his sons, Pascal and Patrick providing printing equipment to the South African narrow web industry.
In 2018, Rotocon established its European subsidiary to represent the Ecoline product range, as part of its own line of finishing equipment initially launched in South Africa in 2017. The range is now available in North America through Rotocontrol, led by managing director Marco Aengenvoort, Michael’s eldest son.
‘Our entry into Asia is an exciting milestone for Rotocon,’ said Michael Aengenvoort, director and co-owner of Rotocon. ‘We are actively recruiting local distributors to represent the Ecoline brand and expand our presence in this growing and dynamic market.’
The Ecoline range has been developed for smaller labelling operations and start-up ventures. Various models feature roll to roll inspection and slitting, offline die-cutting, booklet inspection, in-mold labelling, and digital finishing with embellishments. Each machine has a compact footprint, user-friendly control panel and open machine design. The company installed over 100 of these customizable models in South Africa and beyond in Mauritius, Spain, Denmark, Germany, Australia, and the US.
