Christoph Brünner takes over as MD of Polar Group
He takes over the position from Thomas Raab, who wishes to pursue other personal interests.
Polar Group has named Christoph Brünner as managing director with effect from July 1, 2024, who will lead the Polar Group together with Haiko Stüting.
He takes over the position from Thomas Raab, who wishes to pursue other personal interests and will leave the company on August 1, 2024.
Brünner studied mechanical engineering at the TU Berlin and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has held leading positions in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries both nationally and internationally. In his professional career, he has successfully managed various companies and has over 20 years of experience in the transformation and organization of growth of medium-sized companies.
In his role, Brünner reports directly to the shareholders, SOL Capital Management, of the Polar Group. ‘I am looking forward to the new challenge that awaits me at a traditional global market leader. Driving forward the transformation of Polar, further developing its competitiveness and generating growth is an exciting task.’
For decades, Polar has specialized in the design of innovative and future-proof technologies in the print finishing industry. With around 350 employees worldwide at its sites in Hofheim and Shanghai (China), Polar develops efficient systems for the automation of industrial cutting and die-cutting processes.
