Parkside expands Asian team

Flexible packaging specialist Parkside has bolstered its Asian operations with two key appointments at its Malaysia site. The appointments of Wong Li Lian as senior business development manager and Wang Lu Chay as new business development manager add over 35 years of combined sales experience to the team in a move that significantly boosts Parkside’s business development capabilities.  

This will help to support customers in the APAC region looking for flexible packaging for a wide range of applications including tobacco, food and FMCG. 

Lu Chay will focus on engaging with tobacco customers, while Li Lian will work on specialty projects while also keeping her finger on the pulse of APAC packaging market trends and connecting customers with sustainable packaging innovations across the region.

Li Lian is an award-winning salesperson with over 13 years of experience working in packaging-focused roles. Lu Chay has over 15 years of packaging industry experience, and specializes in the tobacco and flexible packaging segments.

The appointment of both in senior roles adds further investment and expertise to the Parkside Asia team, following several key personnel additions that were made in 2024 including Surinder Singh, new business development manager. The team now has the capability to serve the wider APAC region and Middle East with lightweight, low carbon, recyclable paper, plastic and compostable flexible packaging innovations.
