Pulse continues drive towards quality assurance with ISO accreditations

Narrow web printing ink specialist Pulse continues to improve and enhance its operations, backed by multiple ISO accreditations.

Following a recent audit, Pulse has received certification from the International Organization for Standardization’s ISO 9001 (Quality Management), 14001 (Environmental Management), and 45001 (Health and Safety at Work) standards. These certifications reflect the company's efforts to minimize harm and impact on people and the planet from its operations while delivering high-quality products.

While ISO 45001 helps organizations manage occupational health and safety to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses, ISO 14001 provides a framework for designing and implementing an Environmental Management System (EMS) and continually improving environmental performance. ISO 9001 helps organizations improve performance, meet customer expectations, and demonstrate commitment to quality.

All three are internationally recognized standards that businesses of all sizes and from all sectors use to benchmark their activities and performance. Audits are conducted by the accredited global certification body NQA, which continues to assess Pulse to ensure its practices remain aligned with the ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 standards.

Gary Seward, managing director of Pulse, said: ‘As a business, we are transitioning from Quality Control to Quality Assurance. Key to this is continued certification that demonstrates our ongoing commitment to operational excellence in the narrow web ink industry, the levels we maintain and heights we aspire to reach.

‘We are demonstrating leadership through our treatment of colleagues and in building a safe and secure workplace, complementing the development and evolution of industry-defining solutions such as our PureTone high-strength, single-pigment inks and Monolox fixed anilox printing system for spot colors.

‘By positioning ourselves as a standout business with the utmost respect for people, products, and the planet, we inspire confidence in our current employees and existing partners and future colleagues and customers alike.’
