Intellistor increases capacity with Lemorau MEBR+
South African converter Intellistor has added a Lemorau MEBR+, modular digital finishing equipment to increase production capacity and better serve its clients throughout the region.
Intellistor, headquartered in Midrand, South Africa, was established in 2005 and quickly became a reference in the blank label conversion sector and an importer and distributor for various end-user markets and well-established brands.
‘As a company developing the label brand Ruxo Labels in Southern Africa, we are constantly looking for ways to innovate and provide our customers a competitive edge in order to stay ahead of the competition,’ said Chris Roux, managing director at Intellistor. ‘With the help of Lemorau technology, we can take blank label conversion to the next level. By including the appropriate modules in the future, we will even be able to provide RFID labels.’
The Lemorau MEBR+ has been developed as a modular concept to provide flexibility of configurations and the possibility of adding modules or upgrades later according to customers’ needs.
In its standard version, it runs in rotary and semi-rotary mode. It is equipped with an electronic web guide, automatic web tension control system regulated by servo motors, deflation function for existing flexible dies, labels in and labels out rewinding, and two interchangeable pneumatic rewinders, among other features.
It can also incorporate optional equipment such as Easy Strip waste rewinder, cold foil unit, corona treatment, pressure gauges, and rotary/semi-rotary UV flexo module. Intellistor chose to incorporate a QRC – Quick Remote Connection software.
