SharpEnd/io.tt strengthens board with senior industry executives
The new board to help guide the next stage of its growth following its latest capital increase led by Fedrigoni.
SharpEnd/io.tt, IoT solution provider for consumer brands, has announced a new-look board to help guide the next stage of its growth following its latest capital increase led by Bain Capital-backed industry titan Fedrigoni.
The board includes Norm Johnston, currently SVP, head of global advertising strategy for News Corp. Johnston brings with him more than three decades of experience, having been a pioneer of digital marketing since 1995 when he joined Modem Media (now Digitas) and founded its UK office. Johnston has also held C Suite roles at WPP’s Mindshare (global chief strategy officer, global chief digital officer) and News Corp’s Unruly (global CEO) before its sale to Nexxen.
Antonio Linardi, business director of RFID as well as graphics and technical materials, and Gionata Berna, CIO, are both joining the SharpEnd/io.tt board from Fedrigoni to provide a wealth of advisory, leadership, infrastructure and market development expertise.
Berna has spent the majority of his career brand-side, leading global technology teams for the likes of Benetton group, Riello and Safilo before joining Fedrigoni as its group chief information officer.
Fedrigoni, the reference player in the manufacturing of high specialty papers for luxury packaging and other creative applications, self-adhesive materials, and RFID solutions, joined SharpEnd’s cap table in December 2023, a key moment in the groups journey to add new technology-enabled services and solutions into the group.
Cameron Worth, founder and CEO of SharpEnd said: ‘I’m currently living my dream managing SharpEnd through its “scale up” chapter having been deep in the trenches for a long time to build this industry, so it's nice to have some days in the sun.
‘To welcome people I respect so much to our board gives me even more confidence that SharpEnd can flow through this next chapter with the tools and experience that we, and I, need. It’s a testament to the strength of our business, and position in the market, that these industry heavyweights are now a part of our journey.’
