Durst introduces KJet hybrid press

Durst collaborates with Omet once again to introduce ‘the ultimate hybrid concept that is the full labels factory in one press’.

Durst Group has launched KJet, a new hybrid press developed in cooperation with Omet, uniting analog and digital printing expertise to revolutionize the label and flexible packaging market. It is the second joint development, after XJet.

The KJet offers operators a seamless experience with its user-friendly interface and ultra-short web path. This design minimizes waste and reduces setup times, showcasing the advantages of digital printing.

Combining the cylinder-based dual-servo flexo technology from Omet, with the Durst RSCi digital printing engine, the KJet has been developed to provide the operators with a new experience in simplicity and ease of use together with an ultra-short web path that minimizes waste and reduces the set-up times highlighting the benefits of digital printing.

Durst said, the power of its automation and register control redefine the concept of versatility and extend the boundaries of printing and converting solutions. Endless possibilities of applications, from labels to packaging without compromising on performance or print quality.

‘The combination of digital with flexo offers an innovative hybrid solution that maximizes productivity and flexibility, enabling printers to select between flexo or digital printing, thereby optimizing efficiency and reducing costs while meeting evolving market demands such as personalization and just-in-time deliveries in a single-pass,’ said Thomas Macina, sales director for labels and flexible packaging at Durst Group.
