Epson launches new liner-free label printer
Epson has released TM-L100, its latest mPOS label printer for the take-away, click-and-collect and food delivery hospitality market.
The TM-L100 is a compact, liner-free label printer offering complete ePOS iOS, Android and Java integration with users’ existing POS systems. The printer includes Bluetooth connectivity with rapid sync and charge functionality enabling quick synchronization with the existing workflow systems. Devices such as tablets will now have a more efficient operation with increased productivity, fewer errors and faster turnaround times when producing labels.
The printer eliminates plastic waste from labels, and the media requires no back-peeling, which saves time. According to Epson, using this label printer will reduce errors associated with handwritten labels and means information such as customer name, delivery address and food contents are all clearly displayed.
The liner-free printer supports many plastic-free media, including thick, highly adhesive semi-permanent labels. Another environmental feature is Epson’s advanced paper reduction function, which significantly reduces paper consumption and waste.
‘The new TM-L100 is designed to help food take-away, click-and-collect and delivery providers operate more efficiently and save time with the added benefit of using eco-friendly plastic-free labels,’ commented Dayle Guy, business solutions business development manager at Epson UK.
‘Liner-free labels can improve operational workflows by eliminating the need to peel manually and write-on labels, which is time-consuming and prone to error. The TM-L100 produces clear, legible labels and can contain a range of useful information such as customer details and food contents. And with embedded ePOS solutions, TM-L100 can be integrated very easily,’ concluded Guy.
