Manufactured from PEFC-certified wood pulp from sustainably managed forests, EcoElement CLS film offers an eco-friendly alternative to standard coatings, primarily derived from petrochemicals.

‘Each production run of EcoElement CLS is comprised of refined wood pulp along with 20-25 percent reground material. We are able to maintain a zero-waste manufacturing model and offer a bio-based film that is void of plastics,’ said Tom Snooks, product manager at Nobelus.

The thin, 80-gauge film is available in matte and gloss finishes.

‘EcoElement CLS maintains high color clarity and is an excellent choice for prime label and flexible packaging providers who want to offer their customers a sustainably sourced option,’ added Snooks.

This film offers significant value to the flexible packaging market when paired with solventless or electron beam adhesives. It is also UV and screen printable and supports post-laminate embellishments.

EcoElement CLS film passed testing criteria, is certified industrial compostable per ASTM D6400/D6868 and holds an OK Home Compost certification from TUV Austria.
