UV Ray launches Smart Sensor
UV Ray has launched Smart Sensor, a digital sensor for measuring UV emissions, and which has particular application in the food and pharmaceutical sectors.

Smart Sensor measures all wavelengths (UVA, UVB and UVC), can be applied to most systems manufactured by UV Ray and other suppliers, has a high resolution for accurate and complete reading, and a long sensor life. It is available with or without a shutter, so making it suitable for use in heavy-duty or extremely dirty environments.
It can be integrated into production lines, with proprietary software allowing it to interface directly with the machine and, by monitoring and communicating with the system, it can have a direct impact on production.
Smart Sensor also offers real-time reading, with samples taken up to four times a minute, and is completely filtered from all kinds of interference, so guaranteeing data that can be used for both certification and fine-tuning purposes.
As such, UV Ray said Smart Sensor is particularly useful in applications where certification is required, such as in the food and pharmaceutical sectors.
In a statement, UV Ray described Smart Sensor as a ‘sophisticated digital sensor’.
‘Not just an exceptional measuring instrument but rather a device capable of interacting with the system and playing an active role during the production process,’ the company stated.
