Enprom Packaging develops integrated converting platform
Enprom Packaging has developed a system for slitting and rewinding 1200mm-wide rolls, of film or paper, integrated with in-line semi-rotary die-cutting and lamination to produce a range of finished products with high added value in a single process.

Traditionally die-cutting of labels or packages has been done in narrow webs, which requires prior cutting of the mother reels, then the rotary die-cutting process before further processing in a third production step.
The project consists of a standard Enprom Packaging eSR-120 1200mm-wide turret rewinder with a speed of 100-140m/min and an electric pick up. This is then configured in-line with a semi-rotary die-cutting unit featuring a 1200mm-wide magnetic roller, then a lamination unit or set of label inserters.
Enprom Packaging said this line can perform a wide range of products from shaped labels to easy opening containers or a window to see the packaged product, in one process and being 10 times more productive than the traditional production process.
In addition to die-cutting and laminating in-line with a 1200mm-wide rewinder, Enprom has developed the same system for thinner widths.
