Akzo Nobel Inks CTE hosts narrow web packaging seminar

Akzo Nobel Inks will host its third technical seminar of 2003 – Narrow Web Packaging. The two-day seminar, held in Plymouth, MN on October 14 and 15, will cover various aspects of narrow web packaging, such as shrink labels, wrap-around/roll-fed packaging, cut & stack, pouches, in-mold, and folding carton. This seminar is targeted at owners and management, and is intended to provide the opportunity for traditional label printers to diversify their capability in order to expand and stabilize their business. Top industry experts will share their knowledge and experience in narrow web packaging markets.

Topics will include: A narrow web packaging market overview; flexible packaging presses; corona treatment for films; UV curing for films; adhesives for packaging; and in-mold labeling. Six specific market segments will be discussed at length. A live press demonstration, on Akzo Nobel Inks’ combination printing press, will highlight various topics discussed. In addition, a special event will provide networking opportunities during the first night of the seminar, and a door prize will be awarded at the close of the second day.

Sponsored by Labels & Labeling all technical seminars are free of charge and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Industry experts from the narrow web industry form an integral part of the presentations; and information presented is educational in nature and non-commercial in content. To find out more or to register for any of these educational opportunities, contact your local Akzo Nobel Inks representative, or contact Emily Rupar by phone at 763-559-5911 or by email at emily.rupar@na.aninks.com.
