Chinese label converter adds second Martin Automatic system

The Chinese company has ordered a second automatic butt splicer and transfer rewinder, with the MBSC splicer and STR rewinder to be installed on an existing Omet press.

The repeat order was placed within a year of the first, and David Ho, Martin Automatic’s general manager for the Asia-Pacific region, said: ‘This repeat order shows clearly the value of Martin roll-change equipment is highly appreciated.

‘According to the end user’s calculation, the first MBSC and STR helped reduce their defect rate on that press by two percent and their material waste by over 1.6 tons in less than a year.’

Prior to installation, Martin Automatic will demonstrate the MBSC and STR at Labelexpo Asia, taking place December 3-6 in Shanghai.
