Sai Paks invests in Rhyguan Smart-450
The company opts for the slitter rewinder for its cost-effectiveness.
India-based Sai Paks has installed a Rhyguan Smart-450 slitter rewinder with Luster 100 percent inspection camera for its cost-effectiveness. The machine is supplied and installed by Flexo Image Graphics (FIG).
Formerly called Sai Arts, Sai Paks was incorporated in 1991. Deepan Samarth, managing director of Sai Paks, stated: ‘We started from scratch, merely engaging in manual screen printing at the outset. Since then, we never ever remained idle in upgrading machine portfolio and boosting business to the next level.’ His two sons—Tejas Samarth and Tushar Samarth, are also into the business as directors of the company.
Sai Paks currently has offset presses from Heidelberg and Shinohara, flexo press from Zonten, rotogravure presses from Sanmach, and a Mark Andy from FIG at its Chinchwad and Talawde facilities in Pune, Maharashtra, India. The Rhyguan Smart-450 is one of the key machines used for post-press process. ‘We opted for this cutting-edge Rhyguan slitting and rewinding machine from FIG for its cost-effectiveness,’ explained Deepan Samarth.
He added: ‘We would rather say Rhyguan Smart-450 is very economical as we never worried about its ROI. In fact, this 100 percent inspection slitter-rewinder machine with capacity to re-inspect up to 300m/min is reasonably priced when compared to others in its class. In addition to its cost-effectiveness, Rhyguan Smart-450 is fully packed with advanced features which every standard slitter-rewinder must have.’
The Rhyguan machine is based on advanced servo technology which provides web control with separately adjustable web tension for the unwind and rewind sections and offers various web width options of 330mm, 450mm and 520mm. It can also take up a broad range of materials and applications.
The association between Sai Paks and FIG goes a long way. ‘Around eight years ago, we brought Pune’s first Mark Andy Performance Series P5 press from FIG along with a Rotoflex slitter-rewinder,’ said Deepan Samarth.
‘After all, we would like to say a big thank you to FIG for the machines and their unprecedented after-sales support they provide us. We further look forward to getting more machines and support from them,’ asserted Deepan Samarth. FIG supports its customers through a centralized ‘customer support department’ connecting across its head office in Delhi and branches in Mumbai and Chennai.
