FLAG names 2022 award winners

Flexo Label Advantage Group (FLAG) recently wrapped up its eleventh annual meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah. The event saw a record attendance of 125 independent converter members and vendor partners who gathered for networking and educational purposes.

JC McKay, president of FLAG, stated: 'The theme for this year's meeting was “Ignite”. After several challenging years for independent converters, we wanted to focus on "igniting" our members, getting back to concentrating on growth, efficiencies and strategy. Discussions, presentations and keynotes centered on creative thinking, increased effectiveness and growth. Every year we prioritize what is most important for our members and were thrilled with the outcome of this year's event.'

The 2022 FLAG Award winners included:

FLAG vendor partner of the year award (2022): UPM Raflatac

This award recognizes exceptional support, communication and commitment to FLAG and its members by a participating vendor. This year's recipient was UPM Raflatac.

Brad Brown strategic partner award: Michael Agness - Hybrid Software  
The Brad Brown strategic partner award is given annually to a person who exemplifies commitment, creativity and excellence in their support of FLAG. 

FLAG gold member awards  

These awards are presented to FLAG members who have achieved gold member ranking in their purchasing levels multiple times over the last four quarters and attended the annual members meeting. Nine companies received the 2022 gold member awards:

Member tour host award: Traco Packaging  

Each year at the FLAG Annual Meeting, a member company opens its doors to allow all attendees to tour their facility. Members highly value the opportunity to see how a company of similar size and scope implements processes and sets up their business for growth and efficiency. This year, FLAG visited Traco Packaging in Orem, Utah. 

Additionally, FLAG introduced two new awards this year. Three member companies received the million dollar award, which recognizes members who have saved one million dollars or more through vendor partner incentive programs.
