TLMI's Direct Thermal Task Force holds first meeting

New task force focuses on proposed regulations restricting bisphenol use in direct thermal produce.

TLMI's Direct Thermal Task Force of 18-member supply chain companies held its first meeting on January 24.

The objective of the task force, helmed by legislation expert Bryan Vickers and the TLMI Regulatory Affairs Committee, is to keep TLMI members informed and up to date on proposed regulations restricting the use of bisphenols in direct thermal products in California and Washington, D.C.

Linnea Keen, TLMI president, said: 'TLMI is committed to keeping its members up to date on regulations that can affect business operations. We value input from the entire supply chain as we move forward with our task force meetings.'

Participating companies included converters, paper manufacturers and pressure-sensitive laminators.

The meetings will take place every two months. To learn more, contact Rosalyn Bandy, TLMI’s VP of sustainability.
