DG press celebrates 15th anniversary

Today, the company employs 60 professionals and serves over 550 customers worldwide.

DG press, a Dutch manufacturer of hybrid web offset machines, is celebrating its 15th anniversary of innovating the flexible packaging and label printing market.

Founded in August 2009 by Peter Kloppers and Remko Koolbergen, DG press emerged from the legacy of Drent Goebel. It started as a service company and evolved into a machine manufacturer specializing in innovative web offset presses.

DG press began its journey with a small team of 12 former Drent Goebel employees, focused on machine maintenance, spare parts and selling used machines. Today, DG press employs 60 professionals and serves over 550 customers worldwide with Remko Koolbergen being the sole owner since 2020.

DG press has impacted the flexible packaging and label printing market with its hybrid web offset technology, including the DG-Auxo, which caters to the pharmaceutical and security sectors due to its versatility. Additionally, the DG-Vision has established a solid reputation in the security print market, installed at several state-owned security printing houses worldwide.

‘Our greatest innovations embody our commitment to sustainability and efficiency, offering numerous benefits, including minimized setup costs for short and mid-size runs, environmentally friendly operations, and compatibility with bio-materials and solvent-free inks,’ said the company. ‘This aligns with our goal to provide solutions that are not only innovative but also sustainable, addressing the global demand for eco-friendly printing technologies. Our commitment to circular business practices ensures that the demand for new and used machines is met, contributing to sustainable growth and operational continuity.

‘We extend our heartfelt thanks to our clients, partners and employees for their unwavering support and dedication over the past 15 years. Together, we will continue to shape the future of the printing industry. Thank you for being a part of our journey. Here’s to many more years of innovation and success.’
