Production Print Direct receives Konica Minolta accreditation

Equipment and software provider recognized for its commitment to selling, servicing and supporting Konica Minolta’s products.

UK-based Production Print Direct has received the country's first formal Production Print Accreditation. The accreditation recognizes the company’s commitment, dedication and investment in selling, servicing and supporting Konica Minolta’s products.

Production Print Direct has followed the requirements roadmap to achieve this distinction. This included in-depth technical and support staff training to provide full support and investing in a dedicated Konica Minolta Production Print showroom at the company’s facility in Burnley, Lancashire.

This new facility provides direct access to and use of Konica Minolta’s Client Engagement Centre in Houghton Regis near Luton, allowing direct product demonstrations and training for Production Print Direct’s customers across the UK.

Mike Ashforth, managing director at Production Print Direct, commented: ‘We are thrilled to have attained Konica Minolta Production Print Accreditation, which perfectly cements our already close partnership. Our team has been fully trained by Konica Minolta to ensure that we provide our customers with comprehensive professional service and support, combined with our agility and local availability as a professional independent specialist.’

To ensure its Production Print Accreditation reflects the highest levels of quality, Konica Minolta has created a series of business criteria that require a significant commitment from its partners.

Cameron Mitchell, channel leader at Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK), commented: ‘This accreditation reflects Production Print Direct’s significant effort and investment in knowledge training and support services and has taken a year to complete. This is also genuinely a bi-directional partnership - we also receive invaluable feedback from the Production Print Direct team whilst providing them with full manufacturer support.’

‘This accreditation is a key part of our next growth phase as we expand to cater for new customers and an evolving print market,’ added Shforth. ‘Our next goal is to achieve Konica Minolta Industrial Print Accreditation to demonstrate and highlight our specific expertise in delivering its range of Digital Label and Packaging Press solutions as well.’

‘The production print sphere requires mission-critical expertise and support, so the highest level of service from a print partner is essential. By recognising Production Print Direct’s remarkable level of specialism and expertise, this accreditation provides clear reassurance to customers that they will get the essential level of service they need to successfully cater for and succeed in a highly competitive, but also highly-rewarding sector,’ concluded Mitchell.
