Sherwood Press to work with Label Apeel
- Alliance seen as "natural next step"

- Sherwood Press and Label Apeel have worked closely before

The Sherwood Press Group is to work with label printer Label Apeel in a bid to offer clients a more strategic and stronger packaging and print service.

Through the collaboration, Sherwood will introduce Label Apeel and its labels to its cartonboard packaging and greeting card customers, while Label Apeel will introduce Sherwood and its cartonboard packaging to its customers.

Sherwood Press and Label Apeel have worked closely over a number of years, and share several large clients so the alliance is seen as a natural next step. There is no immediate financial incentive behind the partnership, rather it is intended to provide a better service and product to both companies’ customers.

Jeremy Bacon, chief executive officer of The Sherwood Press Group, said: ‘We are pleased to form this strategic sales alliance to widen our collective product offering and better meet our customers’ needs.

‘Label Apeel is an excellent business that is at the forefront of flexographic and digital label printing. We have identified a number of innovative products and business solutions that will be exciting to develop.’

Stuart Kellock (pictured, top), managing director of Label Apeel, said: ‘Working closer together just makes sense; we’ve got the same aspirations, processes and procedures – the same mindset. There’s great crossover with our services and it will mean we can work together to match colors and hit delivery dates.’
