Screen has appointed Nippon Color as its distributor in India
Screen’s range of equipment includes Truepress Jet series of large format inkjet printers, UV inkjet label presses, sheet-fed and web-fed inkjet presses, the Equios workflow system, RIPs, and offset and flexo computer-to-plate (CTP) systems.

Screen was originally introduced in the Indian market by Nippon Group in 1972, successfully grabbing majority market share for their imagesetters and CTP devices.

Jayant Pardiwala, CEO of Nippon Color, said: ‘We are delighted to associate with Screen again after sharing a long successful relation with them in the past. We sold over 600+ CTP/CTCP machines in a span of 15 years. The brand name Screen with Nippon Color resonated with trust and reliability and we want to bring that faith back to our customers. We are particularly excited about the new PlateRite series of Thermal CTP, and Flexo CTP systems which are offered with an optional magnetic drum for steel-based plates.’

While CTP market remains key to Nippon Color, it is also focusing on digital technologies. Digital label printing is growing as more and more Flexo printers realize the importance of print on-demand. Screen’s Truepress Jet allows label converters a shorter-turnaround time to market with the benefit of customization. The Truepress Jet L350UV SAI Series offers seven inks with an extra printhead.

Akshat Pardiwala, COO of Nippon Color, added: ‘Our vision at Nippon Color is to help our industry to transition from analog to digital technologies in a way that it complements print providers’ existing set-up. Screen is known for their innovative and reliable solutions and we are excited to work with them to develop a strong network throughout India.’

Screen reported that India is an important market and it is crucial for the company to have a representation that can reach and assist customers in the country. Nippon Color will be directly working with GA Dynamic (GADP), exclusive agent of Screen Graphic Solutions. The main activities of GADP include sales and technical support on Screen products to their dealers and customers in Southeast Asia, South Asia and Maldives, sales territories of 15 countries.

Yong, CEO of GADP, said: ‘Nippon Color’s customer-centric approach in the Indian market has enabled us yet again to put our trust in them with our complete product portfolio. We look forward to our strong partnership.’
