Drent Goebel Open House looks at Variable Sleeve Offset Printing (VSOP) concept

The introduction of the Variable Sleeve Offset Printing (VSOP) concept at Ipex 2002 will be followed up by Drent Goebel with an open house on 18 and 19 June in the factory in Eerbeek Holland.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see live print demonstrations of flexible packaging on a 6 colour VSOP. A fast 6 color print job change with 12 offset sleeves will be an integral part of the print demo.

Beside the VSOP there will be a 4 colour Vision with 2 integrated VSOP towers running a conventional print job and a 4 colour Drent Goebel Novaprint running at 680 mm printing width.
An English spoken seminar explaining the details of Variable Sleeve Offset Pinting will accompany the open house. Handouts will be available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Dutch.

The VSOP project is run in cooperation with a number of partners. Agfa (plates), Rotec (offset sleeves), Rexroth Bosch Indramat (Direct Drive), IST (UV drying), Eltromat (Web Video Equipment), Sun Chemicals (UV-Ink) and Pechiney Soplaril (Flexible Packaging Company) are all involved in the development of the VSOP and will be presenting their products during the open house. They will also explain their contribution to the VSOP concept.

The open house will be especially interesting to printers of Business Forms, Direct Mail, Sheetfed, Flexible Packaging, Labels, Pharmaceutical Leaflets and/or Enveloppes. The VSOP is specifically interesting when a large variety of print sizes is needed and short make ready times are essential to making a profit on print jobs.

Applications for attending the open house with seminar can be made via local salesoffices and Drent Goebel agents in Europe or directly to Drent-Goebel Eerbeek. www.drent-goebel.com / tel: 0031 313 671 911 / fax: 0031 313 671 717
