Webex acquires REM Manufacturing

Webex, a provider of precision process rolls for the converting industry located in Neenah, Wisconsin, USA, has acquired REM Manufacturing, a producer of slitter rewinders located in Hackettstown, New Jersey. 

Serving customers throughout North America since 1985, REM Manufacturing has engineered and produced a line of slitter rewinders, including models with full duplex, turret duplex, center surface and cantilever winding designs. REM has also built large diameter slitter rewinders and high-speed slitters with lift-out rewind stations. 

Paul Schulz, Webex’s president: ‘Webex provided rolls to REM for a number of years. This acquisition now extends our web handling solutions beyond rolls to serve those customers seeking to upgrade their slitting operations beyond new rolls and/or web tension solutions.’ 

REM Manufacturing’s operations have been moved to Webex’s headquarters in Neenah, Wisconsin. Frank Pozar, general manager at REM, has joined Webex to help spearhead the transition and to provide on-going support to existing REM customers.
