S-OneLP is partnering with PCT as its new CatPak eBeam finishing system manufacturer.

'We chose PCT with great care, knowing that we are gaining a business partner with deep industry experience,' said Andrew Kalina, S-OneLP technical sales representative. 'Dependable quality that our customers can rely on is what we deliver with CatPak eBeam built by PCT.'

S-OneLP will handle the promotion and sale of CatPak systems produced by PCT, while PCT is responsible for the design and integration of e-Beam cure stations into complete CatPak coating and finishing technology. S-OneLP brings knowledge of how e-Beam coatings interact with labels and flexible packaging and will provide tech support with access to PCT’s technical staff when needed. These systems will be available globally.

'By partnering together, PCT and S-One are supplying an integrated solution encompassing the equipment, substrates, coatings, adhesives and processes that have proven to help companies succeed in delivering digitally printed labels and flexible packaging,' said Karl Swanson, PCT president. 'I look forward to working closely with S-OneLP to support innovative converters as they take advantage of the efficiency, sustainability and flexibility CatPak provides.'

CatPak eBeam finishing technology is fast, clean and food safe for flexible films.

The CatPak Finishing System includes roll stock unwind and rewind stations, a corona treatment unit, a coating station, an eBeam curing unit, rollers, tension control units and a machine control workstation.

Both S-OneLP models, Core 100 and Omnia 150, offer instant curing for fast production.

The Core 100 eBeam System can provide 600 ft/min max production speed; a solvent-free alternative to lamination; a sustainable and thin coating that maintains heat, scratch and solvent resistance; and ultra-low migration OPVs free of initiators, which is suitable for food applications. It can accommodate most flexible packaging or labelstock printed on analog or digital presses, such as the HP Indigo 200K press.

The Omnia 150 eBeam System offers sustainable cured inks, coatings and adhesives; high-energy curing for in-line lamination; and ultra-low migration OPVs free of initiators, suitable for food applications. It can accommodate most flexible packaging or labelstock printed on analog or digital presses such as the HP Indigo 200K press. There is no need for initiators or solvents.
