Screen to unveil latest product line at Interpack
Latest tech offers efficient production and eco-friendly benefits
Screen Europe, a digital print equipment manufacturer, will reveal its latest generation of inkjet digital printing equipment for flexible packaging at the Interpack industry fair in Düsseldorf on May 4.
Sustainability lies at the heart of Screen Europe's inkjet digital printing technology, enabling converters to produce flexible packaging with less waste, fewer CO2 emissions and lower energy consumption.
New technologies Screen Europe will feature at Interpack 2023 include:
Screen Truepress PAC 830F
The new Truepress PAC 830F is a single-pass water-based inkjet digital printing press designed for the cost-effective production of mainstream flexible packaging. It can handle a much higher number of jobs per day than conventional analog processes.
Truepress PAC 520P
Screen is also progressing with product planning for its Truepress PAC 520P – a high-speed, water-based inkjet digital press for paper-based packaging substrates, with a significantly lower environmental impact than conventional printing processes.
This agile and flexible digital printing press will help to accelerate mass-market adoption of the sustainability trend to replace plastic flexible packaging structures with paper-based equivalents offering similar performance and barrier properties, consequently reducing the use of polymer films.
Truepress L350 UV SAI inkjet digital press
Additionally, Screen will showcase its Truepress L350 UV SAI inkjet digital press for label and packaging production using low-migration UV inks. This fast and reliable UV ink digital label press is designed to meet the stringent requirements of the packaging industry.
It provides a consistent, high-quality output that meets the demands of the most challenging label and packaging applications. Using low-migration UV inks, the press ensures that food and beverage packaging remains safe for consumption, making it ideal for flexible packaging production. Screen helps optimize the supply chain through workflow automation.
By integrating digital printing with workflow process automation, Screen Europe's products intend to deliver reduced lead times, increased efficiency, improved accuracy and better inventory management.
At Interpack, Screen Europe plans to display the benefits of sustainability, circular economy principles, digital technology and supply-chain optimization through process automation.
Screen Europe’s hope is for attendees to witness the future of packaging first-hand.
