MicroDynamics' Veritas wins FTA technical innovation award
MicroDynamics' Veritas roll inspection system wins 2023 technical innovation award
MicroDynamics announced that its Veritas roll inspection system has been awarded the 2023 technical innovation award in the pre-press category by the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA).
Representatives from MicroDynamics' board of directors and engineering team attended the event to accept the award.
Veritas, the latest anilox inspection microscope from MicroDynamics, builds on the company's established 3DQC Classic microscope. It was designed for optimal accuracy and durability in printing and converting environments.
Veritas boasts +/- 1 percent measurement repeatability, with data results appearing in under eight seconds, making it faster than any other system currently available. Key features of the innovation include robust hardware and optics, the comprehensive MicroScan3 analysis software, and its capacity to measure various engravings and depths.
Robb Frimming, FTA president, commented, 'This year, the overall judging process was extremely competitive, with a range of unique products submitted and assessed by experts representing all segments of the flexographic industry. MicroDynamics should be very proud of its outstanding achievement. On behalf of the FTA board of directors, membership and staff, we congratulate MicroDynamics for this well-deserved recognition of their innovative award-winning Veritas technology.'
Larry Ridgeway, president of MicroDynamics, said: 'We are incredibly honored to receive this prestigious recognition from the FTA. This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication our team put in to develop an inspection system rooted in integrity and innovation. We look forward to the positive impact Veritas will have on the print production and quality control process for printers, converters and roll manufacturers worldwide. Congratulations to all of the 2023 FTA award winners across all categories. Innovation in the flexographic industry is exceptionally strong.'
Carl Powell, MicroDynamics chairman of the board, added: 'For years, MicroDynamics has invested in innovation to achieve a better, faster and consistent solution for anilox roll inspection. We truly believe Veritas will be a game changer in anilox quality control, advancing the industry with data-driven manufacturing processes. Thank you to the FTA for recognizing our efforts in this achievement. I am extremely proud of all our team members who helped make this innovation a reality.'
The annual award ceremony took place in Columbus, Ohio on April 16.
