Flint Group promotes its nyloflex Next technology

New on the market is the nyloprint Next Exposure unit for letterpress plates, which is targeted to the high-end segment of labels, tubes, cups and can printing as well as the security and banknote printing. For flexible packaging, the nyloflex Next exposure enables an optimized ink lay down on press and it exploits the potential to improve highlights and fine vignettes.

The LED based exposure technology offers precise and reliable surface screening as well as the reproduction of the finest image details. In corrugated post-print, nyloflex Next technology shows not only an improvement in reproduction but also a significant reduction of the fluting effect.

An additional highlight is the company’s UV LED curable ink series EkoCure. Demonstrated for the first time at Labelexpo Americas last year, the product line was developed in response to the increasing need for improved sustainable print solutions. The inks are intended for combination print, formulated specifically for UV LED curing.

The benefits of this technology are both economical with a significantly lower energy requirement for curing, and environmental, as the inks offer a viable and fully functional technology with less impact on the environment. EkoCure uses specially selected photo initiators that match the narrow and targeted wavelength area that is typical for UV LED.

Flint Group published this week its first externally available Sustainability Report to provide comprehensive economic, social and environmental data, and detail the group’s performance and delivery over recent years with respect to sustainability. Aligned to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, the report outlines Flint Group’s performance in three key areas – social, economic and environment – and details the way in which Flint Group has incorporated sustainable business practices into its daily activities. The report is intended to serve as a flagship document for stakeholders to help understand Flint Group’s ongoing commitment to sustainability.
