Huber invests in German MGA manufacturing
The hubergroup has expanded its production of MGA inks in Germany in response to growing demand from brand owners for low-migration inks for food packaging.
The ink bases, formerly produced at the subsidiary in Ireland, will now be ground at Michael Huber München, where they can be finished to form process color inks as well as spot color inks.
This expansion follows the installation of an MGA mixing station in China in order to capitalize on the growing food packaging market in the country.
The production of MGA water-based coatings, which are characterized by a special material composition and by GMP compliance, has been expanded in Germany as well.
