Supplied by local distributor Jet Technologies, the Flexo Wash FW 2500M will clean and manage the condition and performance of the company’s anilox library.

The installation followed research by Poly Products to find the best option to increase productivity on its range of wide web flexo presses. Speaking for Jet Technologies, sales manager Wes Scott explained: ‘We were confident that the FW 2500M would be the perfect fit for Poly Products as it has proven to be a safe and effective way of cleaning anilox rolls for many of our customers over the years.'

Previously, Poly Products had cleaned anilox rolls by hand. A reported major benefit of the FW 2500M was that a number of the company’s rollers, which had been earmarked for replacement because they were no longer delivering the amount of ink required, were salvageable and brought back into production.

‘This has given them an extended working life, and represents a significant saving of more than 3,000 EUR (3,333 USD) per new anilox roll,’ said Steve Renfrey of Poly Products.

‘All flexo printers, whether using water-based, solvent-based or UV inks, should have a unit like this if they are serious about delivering consistent results to their clients. This dramatically helps to minimize the need for color adjustments on repeat runs, which is a common factor with poor cleaning and management of anilox rolls.’
