Avery Dennison increases manufacturing capabilities in China with solvent coaters

The two new lines, which are part of Avery Dennison’s ongoing investment in China, will manufacture high-performance materials designed for specific functional applications, including electronics, automotive and outdoor advertising. They will also provide customers with more flexibility in terms of minimum order quantity and lead time, the company said.

The addition of these two new lines will enhance Avery Dennison’s ability to meet China’s growing demand for pressure-sensitive materials, especially in the durables and specialty applications.

‘Although we saw some deceleration in China’s economic growth in recent years, it is still one of our fastest growing markets,’ said Carmen Chua (pictured, left), vice president and general manager of Avery Dennison Materials Group in North Asia. ‘It is imperative for us to continue investing here in order to increase our business agility.
