Etilab, one of the premier Polish self-adhesive label converters, has invested in the new Xeikon CX300 to enhance its production capabilities and achieve its sustainability goals.

Etilab, founded in November 2000, produces digitally printed labels for various sectors, including FMCG, construction, automotive and publishing.

The decision to invest in the Xeikon CX300 digital press was driven by Etilab's need to modernize its existing machine park and adapt to the growing demands for sustainable production methods. The CX300, with its advanced dry toner technology, aligned perfectly with Etilab's mission to reduce environmental impact while increasing production efficiency.

‘The Xeikon CX300 enables us to minimize the consumption of raw materials required for color calibration and significantly enhances our automation and productivity,’ said Sylwia Dudek, Etilab’s CEO and board member. ‘Moreover, the ability to use new Eco toners, which are to a large extent composed of 60 percent sustainable ingredients from recycling, is a pivotal element in achieving our sustainability goals.’

The CX300 digital press has increased the company's production capacity and improved product quality. The press's advanced features, such as constant color self-calibration, have resulted in higher printing speeds and reduced production costs. This has allowed Etilab to expand its product range to include more climate-friendly options, such as heat transfer labels and actively reduce the carbon footprint of its production.

‘The successful implementation of the CX300 has significantly contributed to the growth of our company by enhancing our production capabilities and allowing us to meet the increasing demands for sustainable and high-quality labels,’ added Dudek.

Etilab's choice of Xeikon was influenced by its positive experience with a previous Xeikon model used for six years. The new CX300, with its more advanced technology and sustainable features, was a natural progression for the company. The continuity in technology and support from Xeikon ensured a smooth transition and implementation process.

‘We have always been satisfied with the level of support provided by Xeikon. The lower prices of toners and other consumables produced from recycled materials were also significant factors in our decision,’ said Etilab's management.

The company plans to maintain its high standards of product quality and customer service while optimizing production processes. The company is also focused on developing sales of products with a smaller carbon footprint and installing renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaic systems, to enhance its sustainability efforts further.
