Geo Labels purchases Edale FL3
Geo Labels, a US printer based in Southern California, has purchased its first Edale flexo press, with a 6-color FL3 ordered through the UK manufacturer’s American distributor, Matik.
Geo Labels first opened in 2003 by its current owners George and Elena Contreras and is now a well-known label company specializing in the manufacturing of industrial and prime labels for industries from food packaging to cosmetics.
‘Compared to the current market of press manufacturers, Edale is ahead of the game with technology,’ said George Contreras. ‘Combined with a personal approach, years of experience and a sound knowledge base, Edale was the obvious choice for us.’
The 6-color FL3-430 is due to be installed at Geo Labels in September 2017. Matik is the sole distributer of this range within America, Canada and Mexico and has experienced 'considerable success' since being appointed in December 2016.
James Boughton, Edale managing director, commented that the US market has previously been something the company has been wary of due to the strength of the local manufacturers, but noted: ‘Since our old philosophy of manufacturing simple flexo presses changed to now manufacturing the most automated equipment within the industry, our success has really opened our eyes to the potential within this market.’
