Magnus Graphics installs AccurioLabel 230

Founded in 2012 by Gagan Goel, Magnus Graphics has offices in Dehradun, Baddi and Muzaffarnagar with production sites at Muzzaffarnagar and Dehradun. The production sites are equipped with multi-color flexo presses, die-cutting, slitting, and coating capabilities. Magnus manufactures labels for the pharma, automobile, FMCG, e-commerce, liquor, oils and lubricants, agro chemicals, cosmetics and personal care sectors.   

 

Goel said: ‘The reason for installing the Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 230 digital press was that we did not want to refuse short-run quality jobs. New startups are coming up in the market and they require small quantities of labels.    

 

‘Digital machine does not increase capacity but is a value addition. It will help us to deliver small quantities in a short time. We found that the Konica Minolta machine is great in terms of quality and speed. It is better than the other machines in the market on return on investment.’  

 

He added that the digital press provides the flexibility to print several colors. ‘The only limitation is that you cannot print white and metallic on this machine. For that Konica Minolta has offered white overprint kit.’  

 

This is the company’s first Konica Minolta press. With the new investment, Magnus is now focusing on pharma labels.   

 

Goel said that he saw good demand for labels in the last year ‘but it was slightly impacted in 2021 due to the scare of the third wave. Brands did not want to launch new products in the market. However, the demand is steadily growing now.’   

 

Vijay Kamat, product manager, Industrial Printing, Konica Minolta, added: ‘Lately, Magnus has seen a rise in short-run label printing. To support short-run label printing and to cater to new age digital label printing which requires variable date, QR code and brand authenticity, Magnus Graphics has installed AccurioLabel 230 label printing equipment from Konica Minolta. Due to the digital capabilities of AL230, Magnus Graphics is able to attract new customers. Label solution from Konica Minolta supports the business expansion of Magnus.’
